With a new label design and slightly adjusted content, this Chardonnay remains one of the most consistently high-quality wines from the Greek vineyard. A 5% addition of Malagousia has been incorporated into the blend, but the wine still holds its classic Chardonnay character, featuring a tropical profile and a rich, buttery body that is perfectly balanced by its pronounced acidity.
Organoleptic Characteristics:
The wine presents a clear, medium-intensity lemon color with golden highlights. It is dry, with crisp acidity and a rich body, while the tropical fruit aromas like pineapple and peach are wonderfully balanced with the oak notes reminiscent of vanilla and smoke. Rich, buttery, and creamy, yet remains balanced due to its prominent acidity. It is ready to drink, but a few more years of aging in the bottle will only enhance it further. This is one of the best expressions of the variety by George Skouras.
Pairings:
It pairs excellently with fried fish, grilled sea bream, calamari with smoked eggplant salad, white cheeses like manouri, and pasta with cream sauce and salmon. Best served at 8-10°C.
