The Williams pear comes from the sunny regions of western Styria, Austria, where it enjoys ideal climatic conditions. When fully ripe, its skin varies from light green to lemon-yellow, with a reddish patch on the side exposed to the sun. Only when it reaches its peak ripeness does it have the sweet flavor needed to make fine pear brandy. To achieve this, our grower harvests up to 15 times. To preserve the taste of fresh fruit, the pears are immediately mashed upon harvest.
