The picturesque region of Piedmont in northern Italy is home to the rare and refined Ramassin wild plum. This unique variety is found exclusively in this terroir, which is also famous for producing exceptional wines and truffles. The Ramassin plums, about the size of an olive with a distinctive purple-reddish hue and rich, full-bodied flavor, are handpicked daily to ensure their top quality.
The natural puree of these plums is distilled twice in traditional copper stills, following an old method from the Tyrol region. The resulting fruit brandy is then aged for at least eight years in open glass balloons, allowing it to develop the sophisticated and balanced flavor that defines it.
