In the glass, it reveals a deep purple color. It offers rich aromas of cherry, strawberry jam, sour cherry, blackberry, blueberry, anise, cinnamon, vanilla, with subtle hints of eucalyptus, violet, and chocolate adding extra complexity. On the palate, it reveals strength and unceasing complexity. It is rich, with moderate yet well-structured tannins and refreshing acidity. Flavors of sour cherry jam, chocolate, cigar, nutmeg, vanilla, pepper, and lavender create a complex and intense finish with a velvety texture.
Pairings:
It pairs excellently with beef bourguignon, traditional Kefalonian meat pie, burgers with BBQ sauce, or spaghetti with meatballs and red sauce. It is ideally served at 17°C.
