The liqueur was created in 1885 under the name Elisir Lungavita and quickly gained significant recognition. Eleven years later, on the occasion of the marriage of the beautiful Princess Elena of Montenegro to Prince Vittorio Emanuele III, Stanislao decided to dedicate his famous elixir to her royal highness, changing its name to Amaro Montenegro.
It is a liqueur with a bittersweet character and great complexity, based on a secret blend of 40 botanical ingredients collected from around the world.
Enjoy it neat, on the rocks, with tonic, or in a cocktail.
