Organically cultivated vineyards with a long-standing tradition, located in a sacred place of unparalleled natural beauty. The monks of Mylopotamos, devoted to God and viticulture, produce a dry red wine that combines traditional Athonite winemaking with modern practices. This wine has successfully established itself in both the Greek and international markets.
Organoleptic Characteristics:
It is characterized by its bright, deep red and velvety color, along with a soft and delicate bouquet featuring forest fruits, such as ripe cherries and blackberries. On the palate, it exhibits a well-integrated tannic structure, which adds body and flavor complexity to the wine. The finish is rich and mature. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Enjoy it at 18-20°C, pairing it with grilled meats, game, poultry, traditional dishes, and hard cheeses.
Pairings:
It pairs excellently with grilled meats with spicy marinades and aged yellow cheeses. Best served at 18-20°C.
