The exceptional aged grape distillate from the renowned Greek winemaker Kostas Lazaridis is a sophisticated variation of pomace distillate (such as tsipouro and tsikoudia), as it is essentially a wine distillate—namely, brandy—and not a product of winemaking leftovers.
For its production, Sauvignon Blanc grapes are allowed to over-ripen until their varietal aromas reach their peak.
Aging takes place in new French oak barrels, where Amethystos Sauvignon Blanc has also matured. The result is an exquisitely crafted bottle, where each drop offers a unique experience, a celebration of the senses, and serves as the perfect accompaniment to a fine, aromatic cigar.
