Sku: 03720
Weight 4.500kg

In 1989, Yiannis Tselepos chose to establish his estate on the eastern slopes of Mount Parnon, at an altitude of 750 meters. These hills, characterized by poor, clay-loam soils with excellent drainage, are capable of producing high-quality wines that truly represent the Arcadian vineyard. The 5,000 stremmas of the “Moschofilero” variety have been the backbone of Mantineia (Protected Designation of Origin) since 1971. The unique microclimate of the Mantineia vineyard differentiates the characteristics of the variety compared to other regions of the Peloponnese. The wine produced is a “blanc de gris,” a white wine made from grey grapes. This wine is a true descendant of the ancient Arcadian vineyard, known by the historian and traveler Theophrastus as the “smoky wine of Arcadia.”

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The estate’s flagship wine, it still holds a prominent position today as an exceptional aromatic Moschofilero from the heart of Mantineia, a PDO zone for the variety. It is characterized by excellent freshness and high acidity, with delicate, intense aromas, mainly of citrus fruits, lemon blossoms, and roses. On the palate, it is clean, with pronounced acidity and a long-lasting finish.

Pairings:

It pairs perfectly with lemon-flavored dishes such as dolmades with avgolemono, noodles with sweet and sour sauce, green salads, seafood dishes, and sushi. The ideal serving temperature is 8-10°C.
