The iconic label of Ktima Kechris may be “Tear of the Pine,” but “Kechrimpari” is the retsina that paved the way for the revival of this significant traditional wine style! Made from 100% Roditis, it stands out as one of the most authentic Greek wines, bottled in a traditional 500 ml carafe. It was, after all, the first retsina to be awarded at the Thessaloniki International Wine Competition.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The wine has a medium lemon color with plenty of golden hues. The aroma is dominated by the freshness of resin, accompanied by fruit notes like pear, melon, and mastic. The taste is medium-bodied, with flavors reminiscent of pine and rosemary, and it has a long-lasting finish.

Pairings:

Enjoy it with chickpeas, fried fish, cod with garlic sauce, zucchini fritters, fried eggplants or peppers, and leek pie. Serve at 10-12°C.
