One of the most beloved red varieties among Greek winemakers and consumers alike, Syrah seems to perfectly align with the “profile” of the Greek palate, favoring wines with concentrated flavors and bold character. The Karipidis Syrah is an excellent example of the variety, with an outstanding quality-to-price ratio, making it ideal for everyday enjoyment.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The wine’s deep ruby color suggests the intense pigmentation and phenolic concentration of the variety, while the bluish hues in the glass indicate the wine’s youthful age. The clear nose reveals the typical Syrah character, with aromas of ripe black fruits and raspberries, while spicy notes such as pepper blend harmoniously with sweet spices like vanilla, reflecting both the peppery nature of the variety and its twelve-month aging in oak barrels. Hints of violet and herbal elements add an extra floral dimension to the nose. On the palate, the wine is dry, with a medium body and acidity that balances the juicy fruit, while the tannins are soft and moderate. The finish is of medium length, with a vanilla oak sensation.
