You’ve probably heard of the Karipidis winery for their excellent Sauvignon blanc, and rightly so! The Karipidis family has been expertly crafting wines from international varieties in Thessaly for years, showcasing the potential of the Greek wine scene. This time, they’ve chosen to impress us with the Italian variety Sangiovese, the robust red grape that produces great Italian wines. With finesse, they’ve tamed it into an elegant rosé without hiding the wild side of the variety.
Organoleptic Characteristics:
In the glass, it has a light pink color with onion skin hues reminiscent of the famous rosés from Provence. The nose is initially subtle and fresh, with aromas of lychee, quince, orange zest, and dried apricot. On the palate, it has a medium body, a creamy texture, fresh acidity, and excellent balance.
Pairings:
It pairs perfectly with seafood pasta and spaghetti alle vongole. Serve at 9 °C.
