The history of the Artemis Karamolegos Winery dates back to 1952. Grandfather Artemis was one of the island’s first vine growers, and today, some of the winery’s vines are 150 years old! The winery embraced innovation when the third generation, grandson Artemis Karamolegos, took over. He blended family tradition with modern technology and applied new techniques both in winemaking and vineyard cultivation. The result? The bottling of the winery’s first PDO wine! The Karamolegos family has written an entire encyclopedia on the production of Santorini wines, with many accolades in Greece and abroad, and is currently one of the leading production units on the island.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

The wine is characterized by intense fruity aromas, with dominant notes of melon and pear. Ripe citrus fruits, mainly lemon and lime, perfectly balance with the typical minerality and subtle hints of herbs and wet stone. It has a strong flavor and a long, complex aftertaste.

Pairings:

This wine pairs excellently with linguine with clams, grilled sea bass, and lemon-roasted pork. Serve at 10°C.
