About 600 years ago, in the Belgian village of Hoegaarden, a group of monks created a distinctive beer recipe. Before this innovation, wheat beers were known for their pronounced sourness. The monks began experimenting with orange peels and coriander from the colony of Curaçao, leading to the creation of the famous Hoegaarden recipe with its unique citrus flavor.
Hoegaarden undergoes double fermentation without filtering, giving it a cloudy appearance and smooth texture. Its taste is mild and light, combining slightly sweet and sour notes, accompanied by subtle aromas of citrus and white spices. This is a beer with a refreshing flavor and enchanting aroma.
