GEROVASSILIOU ESTATE MALAGOUSIA 12,5%VOL 750ml 6pcs

Sku: 03009
Weight 4.500kg

Vangelis Gerovassiliou was the first to bring Malagousia into the spotlight, receiving it from Professor Vasilis Logothetis, a professor of Viticulture and Oenology at the University of Thessaloniki, who maintained an experimental vineyard. Gerovassiliou vinified it for the first time at the Porto Carras Estate in Halkidiki. In 1981, he then cultivated Malagousia in his own vineyard in Epanomi. He is essentially the person who preserved and popularized this variety, initially distributing vines to the Wine Institute, and from there to Roxani Matsa and winemaker Thanasis Parparousis.

Organoleptic Characteristics:

An elegant wine with a bright lemon-green color, generously expressing the aromatic character of the variety. Aromas of apricot, peach, pear, and tropical fruits are combined with a herbal note and hints of mint, while floral aromas, dominated by rose, complete the profile. On the palate, it is dry, with satisfying acidity, a medium body, and a long-lasting finish.

Pairings:

It pairs perfectly with Mediterranean cuisine, seafood, white meats with simple sauces, pasta with shellfish, and salads with seasonal greens. Serve chilled at 8-10°C.
