Since 1871, the first generation of the Moortgat family has been producing beer with great skill, patience, and passion. In 1923, production of Duvel began with just a few crates, but today, this beer has gained devoted fans worldwide, is distributed in over 60 countries, and remains faithful to its original recipe.
Duvel beer follows a long production process, respecting the time needed for it to mature. After bottling, it undergoes fermentation for two weeks in the brewery’s warm cellars and is then cooled for six weeks in cold storage. This unique and extensive maturation process gives Duvel its exceptional taste and authentic aroma, making it beloved by beer enthusiasts.
