Cragganmore is a small distillery located in the Highlands of Scotland, the world’s most famous and largest whisky-producing region. Its name means “big rock” in Gaelic. It was founded in 1869 by John Smith, one of the most experienced distillers of his time. Before establishing Cragganmore, he had served as the manager of Macallan, Glenlivet, and the tenant of Glenfarclas distilleries.
John Smith designed Cragganmore with unique flat-topped stills to achieve the complex flavors that define this malt. Renowned whisky author Michael Jackson once described it as the whisky with “the most complex aromas of all the malts.” Cragganmore has won numerous accolades, including gold medals at the Scotch Whisky Masters in 2010 and 2011.
Each bottle offers sweet, floral notes, with hints of wood smoke, aromas of riverside herbs, vanilla, and cereals.
