On the other hand, with 85% Merlot in its blend, this exceptional red from Biblia Chora Estate demonstrates the estate’s trust in this grape variety, the most widely planted globally, which, in the case of “Plagios,” produces a wine of international standards.
Organoleptic Characteristics:
A wine with a deep red color that ages for 16 months in new oak barrels. It offers intense aromas of red fruits, chocolate, cedar, and nuts. The careful selection of grapes from the estate’s low-yield vineyard and the 16-month aging in oak barrels result in a rich, robust, and well-structured wine with pleasant roundness, ample tannins, and a high potential for aging.
Pairings:
It pairs excellently with pork tenderloin in a plum and red wine sauce or burgers, especially cheeseburgers. It also complements soft, mildly flavored yellow cheeses. Serve at 18 °C.
