Aberlour Distillery, located in the picturesque village of Aberlour at the base of the rugged Ben Rinnes mountain range, was founded in 1826 by Peter Weir and James Gordon. Although Peter retired a year after its establishment, the distillery continued to thrive. The village is situated near Lour Burn, which connects to the River Spey just 270 meters away from the distillery.

The Aberlour Forest Reserve 10 Year Old has been matured in a combination of casks: initially in sherry casks and then in French oak barrels. On the nose, the whisky presents aromas of lemon blossoms, orange peel, strawberry jam, vanilla, and fresh, spicy oak. On the palate, it reveals notes of sweet melon, toffee, nuts, raisins, vanilla, and dried herbs, offering a rich and complex tasting experience.
